PottieStickers is the #1 portable toilet training reward system for today’s family-on-the-go-lifestyle… because consistency counts. Tammie sits on the board of the American Cancer Society fund raiser for Pittsburgh, PA since a percentage of all sales go to cancer research in memory of her husband who lost his battle with cancer while both of their toddlers were toilet training.
It was the day after the World Trade Center tragedy on September 12, 2001 when her world fell apart, PottieStickers and creator Tammie Aaron-Barrada were both put to the test. Tammie’s husband had been diagnosed with cancer just after they lost their third child. The daily trips for radiation, doctor’s appointments and chemotherapy treatments resulted in placing their two toddlers in day care and in the hands of neighbors since family was over 800 miles away. A few weeks later Tammie’s husband lost his battle with cancer leaving behind a 3 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.
Now widowed with a handful of PottieStickers and two toddlers to raise, Tammie was devastated and faced with financial challenges as Tammie’s husband did not have life insurance. Determined to make it, she pursued her goals in honor of her husband and for her children. It all started with Tammie’s perseverance. She wrote a patent for PottieStickers and a killer business plan which was polished to perfection winning the 2003 WriteIdea contest and Aaron Barrada, Inc. was born.
Aaron Barrada, Inc. was the first company to provide a toilet training reward system designed specifically for traveling children of today. Recommended by Pediatricians, Child Psychiatrists, Daycares, parents and grandparents, PottieStickers “No Wrong Way” design sets are a big hit and travel well with parents and children. Since consistency is the key in potty training a toddler Tammie puts 3 different sets in each package so you have one set for home, one for mom to carry in her purse, leave one at grandmas house or daycare, each 8 1/2”x11” fold out picture has correlating 5 1/2”x8 1/2” stickers to give one PottieStickers for sitting, give two PottieStickers for a pee, & give three PottieStickers for a poopy. No matter how a child places the sticker, they are correct through the design patent. The extremely thick stickers are designed for one and two year old little fingers but with colorful intricate details and fine motor skills development. PottieStickers & RewardEmStickers are great for Autistic, Special Needs as well as able bodied children. http://www.PottieStickers.com
Tammie wanted something affordable to help other moms while making toilet training fun for children. PottieStickers retail for only $12.99 for three sets while the average cost of other toilet training systems start at $20 to $80 and consist of wall charts, board games, dolls and products that just don’t travel well with children. Most importantly, PottieStickers exceeded the standards of conforming to ASTM-F963 and 16CFR consumer product safety requirements.
Saving money for college for children is what every parent thinks about so Tammie’s new campaign lets parents save $100 a month on diapers, wipes and creams to set aside for college funds. Thirty years ago children were toilet trained by 15-20 months of age. Now they are 3-4 years old before trying. Specialists see more problems due to late toilet training. Reports find bladder and urinary tract infections, constipation, stretching of the bowel, colon pockets; these serious happenings result in polyps, which always turn into cancer if untreated. Tammie donates a percentage of all sales to cancer research.
Tammie is co-author of “The Right Sisters – Modern Day Women Inventors”, the co-host of a radio talk show in Ohio titled “The Moms Show” and is currently working on developing an on-line inventors school to help other creative inventors through the process. Tammie resides in Ruffs Dale, Pennsylvania. 724-696-4332 AaronBarradaInc@aol.com
